Learn, Explore, Achieve, Prepare
What Is It?
LEAP is a 17 week training program targeting those people who have left school prior to graduation.
The objectives of the Project are:
- Enhance living skills
- Support all learners in a way that builds on their strengths and talents
- Enhance employability skills for those not returning to school
- To provide options external to the regular school system
- Decrease the number of youth engaged in risky behavior
- Increase knowledge of community resources
- Support participants returning to school
Who Can Participate?
The program is available to those youth under 30 who have left prior to the completion of high school.
Other referral sources will be given consideration if they meet the following criteria:
- Those between the ages of 15 and 30
- Those who are non-high school graduates
- Those who are unemployed and do not receive Employment Insurance Benefits
- Those who are eligible to work in Canada
